Remarks

For Hard and HardConservative clash tests, the tolerance is the degree of overlap permitted before an interference is considered to be a clash. This allows you to ignore numerical approximation problems and trivial clashes that can be worked around on site.

For Clearance clash tests this is the minimum clearance that is required for a separation not be regarded as a clash.

For Duplicate clash tests, this is the maximum distance at which identical geometry will be regarded as a duplicate, things further away will be ignored, on the theory that they are identical but a genuinely separate instance.
